Location: Northern Cyprus (Turkish side)

Concept Theme: Old Island Theme (Traditional Cyprus Reinterpreted)
A modern spatial narrative inspired by the island’s timeless textures and heritage.

Roxana Café is a contemporary hospitality project located in Northern Cyprus, designed by HRarchZ under the direction of Zakaria Eliwi. The project reinterprets the island’s traditional architectural language through a modern lens, blending earthy materials, organic textures, and sculptural forms. The result is a space that feels both rooted in heritage and boldly contemporary, offering visitors an immersive sensory experience.

Roxana Café tells a story of place—one deeply connected to the spirit of Northern Cyprus. The design draws from the island’s historic textures, traditional materials, and natural landscape, translating them into a contemporary architectural language.
The use of raw concrete volumes, circular openings, and soft organic forms reflects the dialogue between permanence and fluidity. Green walls introduce life and movement, while warm ambient lighting enhances the tactile quality of the space.
At the heart of the project is a central bar, conceived as a sculptural focal point, surrounded by a layered spatial composition that encourages exploration and interaction. The result is a café that feels immersive, calm, and culturally grounded.
