A contemporary chocolate boutique designed to elevate the retail experience in Abu Dhabi.
This project reimagines the traditional sweet shop as an immersive retail environment. Defined by clean geometry, integrated lighting, and tactile wall surfaces, AB Sweet offers a sophisticated spatial experience that enhances product perception. Each design element—from floating display units to illuminated stairs—contributes to a cohesive narrative of elegance and precision.
The design of AB Sweet is driven by the idea of transforming confectionery retail into a refined spatial experience. Rather than a conventional shop, the space is conceived as a curated gallery where each product is elevated through light, contrast, and composition. The use of a monochrome palette reinforces a sense of clarity and sophistication, allowing the colors and textures of the sweets to stand out.
Lighting plays a central role in shaping the atmosphere. Suspended feature elements integrate greenery and soft illumination, creating a balance between natural and artificial elements. The verticality of the space is emphasized through tall windows, elongated wall panels, and layered ceiling forms, enhancing the perception of height and openness.
The overall narrative is one of precision, calmness, and controlled luxury—where every detail contributes to a seamless and memorable customer experience.

Design Concept
The concept of AB Sweet is based on “Retail as Exhibition,” where products are presented as art pieces within a clean, curated environment. Display units act as pedestals, while lighting frames and highlights each element to enhance visual focus.
A strong black-and-white contrast defines the space, softened by rounded geometries to create a balanced and inviting atmosphere. Layered ceilings, walls, and lighting add depth, while clear and intuitive circulation ensures a seamless experience centered around the product.
